Training 130 people through 3 levels of SQL - SARS Academy - 16 May 2012

Good day All;

This is to confirm that the SARS Academy has utilised the services of Get Certified in collaboration with Compuways to provide training on SQL at different levels. We have had very good feedback from our learners on the course presentation as well as content. I have personally spoken to some managers to determine their level of satisfaction, and they impressed upon me that even though it is early days, they can already see a marked improvement in the performance of the learners who attended the training.

As a trainer myself – I am satisfied with the level of professionalism that GetCertified has given us, will consider utilising them should the next opportunity arise, and therefore can readily recommend them to anyone else that contemplates utilising their services.

5 Oct 2011 - Beginning SQL Reference

I had been trying to find employment for six months, having taken two years off work to look after my baby. Despite having ten years’ worth of experience in stock broking administration and an honours degree in economics, I could not even get to the interview stages. With the financial services crisis looking unlikely to resolve itself any time soon, I decided that I wanted to make a career change to IT. However, the standard question from employment agents was: “Do you have any IT experience, or an IT degree”? I was not in a position to do another degree and I was starting to lose heart about my situation.

Then I met with Arnold. He was confident that doing an SQL Beginners course with Get Certified would open all the doors for me to become a Business Analyst, my dream job. I had serious doubts but I was sold on doing the course anyway because I always wanted to learn SQL. I felt I had nothing to lose.   

Within a few weeks of attending the SQL course at Get Certified and adding it onto my CV, I was the proud recipient of two job offers from reputable financial services companies - to work in their IT department, as a  Business Analyst. It was so easy, it was ridiculous!

Over and above that, Wesley was an excellent teacher and he managed to cater for my needs, as well as those students who were more advanced.
